St. Jude’s Roman Catholic Church joyfully commemorates the 65th anniversary of its founding, offering heartfelt thanksgiving to Almighty God for decades of faith, worship, and service within our parish community. Since its earliest days, the parish has been entrusted to the patronage of St. Jude Thaddeus one of the Twelve Apostles chosen by Christ, cousin of Jesus, and a faithful witness to the Gospel.
St. Jude walked closely with the Lord during His earthly ministry and was privileged to witness the central mysteries of our Christian faith. He was present at the Last Supper of the Lord, where Christ instituted the sacraments of the Holy Eucharist and the priesthood; he journeyed with Christ through the events of His Passion and Crucifixion; he bore witness to the joy and triumph of the Resurrection; and he was present at Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles to proclaim the Gospel to the nations and establishing the foundation of the Church.
Throughout the centuries, St. Jude has been venerated as the patron saint of hopeless cases and things almost despaired of, a title that reflects the deep trust the faithful place in his powerful intercession. For 65 years, the parishioners of St. Jude’s have turned to their patron in prayer during moments of difficulty, uncertainty, and thanksgiving, finding hope, consolation, and renewed confidence in God’s mercy and providence.
St. Jude’s Parish holds a unique and cherished place within the Archdiocese of Toronto out the 225 parishes it is the only church bearing the name of St. Jude. This distinction reflects a rich spiritual heritage and a profound devotion that has shaped the identity of the parish across generations. Within this community, countless sacraments have been celebrated, vocations nurtured, families formed, and lives transformed through faith in Christ.
As we mark this significant milestone, we honour the clergy, religious, parishioners, and benefactors—past and present—whose faith and dedication have built and sustained this parish community. Above all, we entrust the future of St. Jude’s to the continued intercession of our patron, praying that he may guide us forward in fidelity to the Gospel, unity in our mission, and steadfast hope in the promises of Christ.
May the next generations continue to find in St. Jude’s a spiritual home rooted in faith, strengthened by prayer, and committed to service.

La Chiesa Cattolica Romana di San Giuda commemora con gioia il 65° anniversario della sua fondazione, rendendo grazie di cuore a Dio Onnipotente per decenni di fede, culto e servizio all'interno della nostra comunità parrocchiale. Fin dai suoi albori, la parrocchia è stata affidata al patrocinio di San Giuda Taddeo, uno dei Dodici Apostoli scelti da Cristo, cugino di Gesù e fedele testimone del Vangelo.
San Giuda camminò a stretto contatto con il Signore durante il Suo ministero terreno ed ebbe il privilegio di essere testimone dei misteri centrali della nostra fede cristiana. Era presente all'Ultima Cena del Signore, dove Cristo istituì i sacramenti dell'Eucaristia e del sacerdozio; accompagnò Cristo attraverso gli eventi della Sua Passione e Crocifissione; fu testimone della gioia e del trionfo della Resurrezione; ed era presente a Pentecoste, quando lo Spirito Santo discese sugli Apostoli per proclamare il Vangelo alle nazioni e porre le fondamenta della Chiesa.
Nel corso dei secoli, San Giuda è stato venerato come il santo patrono dei casi disperati e di coloro che sembrano ormai perduti, un titolo che riflette la profonda fiducia che i fedeli ripongono nella sua potente intercessione. Per 65 anni, i parrocchiani di San Giuda si sono rivolti al loro patrono in preghiera nei momenti di difficoltà, incertezza e ringraziamento, trovando speranza, consolazione e rinnovata fiducia nella misericordia e nella provvidenza di Dio.
La parrocchia di San Giuda occupa un posto unico e prezioso all'interno dell'Arcidiocesi di Toronto: tra le 225 parrocchie, è l'unica a portare il nome di San Giuda. Questa particolarità riflette una ricca eredità spirituale e una profonda devozione che ha plasmato l'identità della parrocchia attraverso le generazioni. In questa comunità, sono stati celebrati innumerevoli sacramenti, coltivate vocazioni, formate famiglie e trasformate vite attraverso la fede in Cristo.
Nel celebrare questo importante traguardo, rendiamo omaggio al clero, ai religiosi, ai parrocchiani e ai benefattori, passati e presenti, la cui fede e dedizione hanno costruito e sostenuto questa comunità parrocchiale. Soprattutto, affidiamo il futuro di San Giuda alla continua intercessione del nostro patrono, pregando che ci guidi nella fedeltà al Vangelo, nell'unità della nostra missione e nella ferma speranza nelle promesse di Cristo.

La Iglesia Católica Romana de San Judas celebra con alegría el 65.º aniversario de su fundación, ofreciendo una profunda gratitud a Dios Todopoderoso por décadas de fe, culto y servicio en nuestra comunidad parroquial. Desde sus inicios, la parroquia ha estado bajo la protección de San Judas Tadeo, uno de los Doce Apóstoles elegidos por Cristo, primo de Jesús y fiel testigo del Evangelio.
San Judas caminó junto al Señor durante su ministerio terrenal y tuvo el privilegio de presenciar los misterios centrales de nuestra fe cristiana. Estuvo presente en la Última Cena del Señor, donde Cristo instituyó los sacramentos de la Sagrada Eucaristía y el sacerdocio; acompañó a Cristo durante su Pasión y Crucifixión; fue testigo de la alegría y el triunfo de la Resurrección; y estuvo presente en Pentecostés, cuando el Espíritu Santo descendió sobre los Apóstoles para proclamar el Evangelio a las naciones y establecer los cimientos de la Iglesia.

Priest: To you, Lord Jesus Christ, we offer our prayers today. We acknowledge the special friendship with your Apostle, St. Jude, has with you. Lord Jesus, we join our prayers today to the Eucharist, which renews in us the loving act of your death and resurrection, and expresses most perfectly our communion with you. Be Present with us today and each day of our lives. Deepen our love for the Father and for each other. May the grace and favors for which we pray be granted through you, who lives and reigns with the Father, in union with the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever.
